First of all, iTunes had all sorts of branding with its interface. I am not going to say I absolutely loved it or not, but it was clearly iTunes. With the introduction of iTunes 10 they changed almost all of that.Another thing they changed is the dock icon that comes with iTunes on windows, and lets take a look at them.

After updating to iTunes 10:

Here we see my taskbar, and the change from the previous from the iTunes icon is stark. Let us go ahead and zoom in.

What? What is with all the white klingons with this icon? Their new logo includes a white border around the blue circle. However, everyone knows that having a one pixel wide circle isnt going to work on an icon of that size.
Apple is supposedly the powerhouse design company, but one of its flagship products gets a new slap of paint and something that looks like a kid made it? wat.

So Google is offering a feature where they can use some bayesian magic on your inbox to predict which of the people you communicate with is important. This is kind of nice if you have an insane volume of mail, but man Google, your relationship tracking just gives me the willies. Advertising that uses your friends relationships to suggest things to buy taken to the next level.
